Elegy After a Natural Disaster

"Acts of God" happen suddenly. It was a group of monsters - a group of familiar yet extremely strange monsters - monsters that appeared in myths and fantasies, and entered reality with the most primitive fears. They destroy buildings, they destroy towns, they tear out the pride of this race and tear it to pieces, replacing it with despair and stuffing it back again. So, someone started praying. "God! If you really exist! Then save your weak people!" Just like "natural disasters" appear suddenly, "miracles" also appear suddenly. Some people were transported to another world, participated in brutal death battles, and became the "Chosen Ones". They gained extraordinary power, and under the protection of the "Chosen One", this race also gained the right to survive.
