The Empress Has Lost Her Virtue, So I'll Take Her as My Concubine

Gu Chang'an had wanted to be a worthy regent, devoted to his duties until his dying breath. Who could have guessed that the empress, Nalan Meier, would make life miserable for the people with her fanciful pursuit of immortality, leaving them resentful and destitute? Gu Chang'an could take no more. He deposed Nalan Meier and installed a new ruler!

Now holding all the power, Gu Chang'an should have killed Nalan Meier to eliminate any future trouble. But she was peerlessly beautiful, and he couldn't bring himself to kill her, so he took her as a concubine.

Gu Chang'an's legal wife, Huang Danniang, was jealous by nature. Nalan Meier's life became a tragedy: she had to curry favor with Gu Chang'an while enduring Huang Danniang's humiliation and oppression!

Gu Chang'an, too, went from delight to disaster: he became so enamored with Nalan Meier's beauty that he neglected state affairs. As a result, the enemy army reached the city gates and called out to him: "Hand over Nalan Meier, and we'll spare your life!"

Just then, Nalan Meier broke free of her confinement and attained enlightenment, becoming an immortal...
