A Mercenary Killer's Redemption

A mercenary assassin's redemption. Johnny, a fourteen-year-old boy from the southern coastal mountains, is trained to become a cold-blooded mercenary assassin as he struggles to survive. After narrowly escaping death time and again, he eventually ends up in a poor, muddy little town. To forget those bloody days and evade his pursuers, he hides the fact that he was trained to be a killing machine, losing himself in the town's taverns and the company of women. To earn enough to get by, he has no choice but to sail every year to the Nicobar Islands to trade in furs and dried fruit. During one voyage, he saves a Japanese woman bound beneath the ship's deck and kills several thugs. Outnumbered, he is forced to jump overboard with his sixteen-year-old fiancée, who stowed away on the ship, and a poor little girl. They wash ashore on a deserted island. From that moment on, his fate changes! As they flee, they encounter many creatures they have never seen before. On this strange island, they overcome dangers and hardship, working hard to build a homestead where they can survive and to keep the ravages of war at bay.
