Centralia is located in Pennsylvania, USA, and beneath the Appalachian Mountains in the northeastern United States lies the world's most productive coal mine. The town of Centralia prospered rapidly precisely because of its rich coal resources. At its peak, the town's permanent population reached more than 3,000. But it was these coal mines that led to the town's almost complete demise. In 1962, some workers were burning household waste as usual in a landfill near the mine, but accidentally ignited a vein of anthracite coal. This huge smokeless mineral vein happens to be buried directly under Centralia. Because the mineral resources are very rich and occur underground, it is difficult to stop the fire at once. In the end, even the government gave up putting out the fire. Thousands of people living here were ordered to move out. The postal code was canceled. Even the road leading to the town on the map was marked as a dotted line with the word "Destroyed" next to it. Once this hellfire burned, it burned for more than half a century... Half a century later, a mysterious wealthy businessman came to this town and established the town's first bar - Dad's Bar.
