The Song Dynasty's Number One Brat

Kou Xun transmigrates to the Song Dynasty during Emperor Zhenzong's reign and becomes the only son of Kou Zhun, the famous Song Dynasty statesman.

Take the imperial examinations and have his name announced at Donghua Gate?

Absolutely impossible.

Competing with those penniless scholars for status would only disgrace him, the capital's top young master.

His greatest ambition right now is to have fun. What do the affairs of state and court rivalries have to do with him?

On top of that, with a System that makes him stronger every time he mouths off to someone, his reputation as an unfilial, rebellious son spreads throughout the capital.

Kou Xun: "Old man, you're a grand chancellor. You ought to lead by example. Aren't you afraid all this extravagance will corrupt the simple, honest customs of our Song Dynasty?"

Kou Zhun: "Fine. Starting today, I'll cut your monthly allowance by ninety percent and use it to provide porridge on credit to the disaster victims outside the city."

"Wait, I haven't been wasting money! What gives you the right to cut my allowance?"

"Because every bit of that silver was earned by your old man."

And so, amid the constant skirmishes between father and son, the Song Dynasty begins to change.

Zhao Heng: "How about I marry the eldest princess to you?"

Kou Huai: "No. If I marry a princess, I won't be allowed to take concubines. I'd rather die!"

Zhao Heng: "Want to see if I can kill you right now?"
