Wanderers Beneath the Starry Sky

In the mountains an hour and a half from Yangcheng, Mo Bai and his friends Gao Jie and Lu Xiaolin had always dreamed of different lives. Mo Bai wanted to chase the brilliant galaxy; Lu Xiaolin dreamed of becoming a host; and Gao Jie followed his mother's example, aspiring to become an excellent teacher. Time stole their youthful innocence, but also helped them realize their dreams. Yet life is unpredictable. After love, career, and marriage troubles, their paths took different turns. In the end, after Lu Xiaolin collapsed from illness, Mo Bai went away alone. Perhaps the city's rows of towering buildings could never contain his dreams. He belonged on the grasslands, in the deserts, in the wilderness and forests where no one ventured, a speck of dust beneath the vast heavens, becoming a galaxy across the sky when the wind rose.
