To escape my debts, I stumbled into a mass grave and encountered an evil spirit that nearly killed me. A Taoist priest appeared and saved me. Though we were strangers, the priest traveled a great distance to find me. He told me that my parents had died because of me, and that he'd come to protect me. I couldn't accept it at first, but he said it was all fated: I was Zhong Kui reincarnated. This year is my final great tribulation. If I survive it, I'll regain my memories and return to the underworld to rule over thousands upon thousands of evil spirits.

But I don't want to be Zhong Kui. I'm just me.
