Great Ming: The Rogue Imperial Tutor Who Turns the Princes Dark

In the twenty-fifth year of Hongwu, Zhu Yuanzhang names his grandson heir to the throne. That night, the Crown Prince's memorial tablet inexplicably splits into four.

Zhu Yuanzhang is alarmed and summons the Imperial Astronomical Bureau. After divining the signs, its officials tell him that the Crown Prince's lineage will die out.

With his son's line facing extinction, Zhu Yuanzhang panics and orders them to find a way to avert it.

How can mere human effort defy the will of Heaven?

Just as they are at a loss, purple qi comes from the east and literary aura descends upon Qixia. A man who can defy fate has appeared.

At Qixia Mountain, Old Zhu meets Jiang Chen, a transmigrator. After talking with him, he can't stop praising him.

Half a day later, Jiang Chen is appointed as a tutor in the Eastern Palace and becomes the Crown Prince's teacher.

When teacher and student meet, Jiang Chen launches into his grand deception: "I have a technique that can slay dragons and subdue tigers. Your Highness, would you like to learn it?"

Zhu Yunwen is delighted and studies the Dragon-Slaying Technique under Jiang Chen. But within days, he realizes something is off.

Keep your head down, take people by surprise, have thick skin and a ruthless heart. What the hell kind of Dragon-Slaying Technique is this? Is this guy an imperial tutor or a thug? Have I been conned?

Several years later, Zhu Yunwen has turned completely ruthless.

Zhu Di: "He's even more shameless and ruthless than me. Why the hell would I rebel?"

Yao Guangxiao: "With a thug like Jiang Chen as imperial tutor, there's no hope of building an empire!"
