The Electronic Exorcist

What happens when ghosts and monsters run into a cyberpsycho? My name is Bai Yue, and I'm just an ordinary person. One night, I was gaming when I got struck by lightning. The next day, I woke up in the hospital completely fine. Even my nearsightedness had been cured. After getting rid of my 500-degree myopia, I went home and found my room undamaged, but every game save on my computer had disappeared. With no games to play, this couch potato had no choice but to go to bed. I was exhausted. To my surprise, I dreamed of an ancient world filled with ghosts and strange tales. Everything there felt incredibly real, and my body had become just like my game character's: extensively augmented with implants, yet still human in appearance. After a series of events, I finally woke up from the "dream." As I marveled at how real it had felt, I noticed I was holding the cultivation manual I'd obtained in the dream. The wounds from the dream were clearly visible on my body, and my right hand had also turned into its dream-state form.
