Siheyuan: I Take Silly Zhu as My Disciple from the Start

Gao Huaiguo transmigrates to the world of the courtyard house. He lives on just five yuan in welfare payments and is despised by everyone in the neighborhood. Even matchmakers avoid him.

At twenty-eight, he's still a bachelor.

A banquet-level chef in his previous life, he challenges Silly Zhu to a cooking contest from the start and successfully takes him on as a disciple.

From then on, Gao Huaiguo has a sidekick at his heels.

"Silly Zhu, I hear you like Qin Huairu? That's more than you can handle. Let your master take her off your hands."

"You like Teacher Ran too? No, no! Her family background isn't good enough. She's not worthy of you."

"Qin Jingru is pretty nice, but she's a rural resident. Silly Zhu, you should find someone better."

A few years later, Silly Zhu realizes that all the women he liked have become his master's wives. He looks to the heavens and cries out:

"Master, you can't do this to me!"
