History: Showing Our Ancestors Their Eccentric Descendants

For some unknown reason, a giant screen appeared in the skies above different dynasties. As for what it showed, it was all about the oddballs in their own families. Here, "oddball" is used to describe outstanding people and deeds, though it can also be used to poke fun at what later generations got up to.

The focus is on emperors from different eras watching the exploits of their descendants and changing futures that would otherwise leave people with regrets.

The planned viewing list includes: Qin Shi Huang Ying Zheng's unification of the six states and the fall of the Qin under the Second Emperor; Emperor Wu of Han fighting the Xiongnu and the Emperor Wu who suffered a plague among his pigs; the Jin dynasty that stole the fruits of others' labor; the golden age of the Tang dynasty created by Emperor Taizong, Li Shimin; the Tang dynasty after Emperor Taizong; the future Great Song; stories of the Ming dynasty; and stories of the Qing dynasty.

I may not write them in this order, and the list may change.

This novel and its characters are entirely fictional. Any resemblance to real people or events is purely coincidental. Do not imitate.
