Great Ming: I Died Pleading with My Coffin on My Back, and Zhu Yuanzhang Flew into a Rage

Ye Chen transmigrates to the Ming Dynasty and becomes a seventh-rank Censor in the first year of the Hongwu reign.

The System also gives him a hundred puppets. If he can use them all up, he can return to his previous life and become the richest man in the world.

To avoid dying too ignominiously, Ye Chen decides he should at least leave his name in the history books.

As it happens, Zhu Yuanzhang is calling on his ministers to establish a fiefdom system for the princes.

So Ye Chen carries a coffin into court and remonstrates with his life on the line!

"Your Majesty, you have seven sons already. If each of them has seven sons of his own, the Great Ming will fall in little more than a hundred years!"

"Insolent fool! How dare you curse the Great Ming? Drag him out and execute him!"

But as soon as Zhu Yuanzhang finishes speaking, Ye Chen smashes himself to death right there in the great hall.

Many years later, old Zhu Yuanzhang holds a photograph in his hands and cannot help but shed tears.

"There are only a hundred members of the Ye clan, and they all revere Wei Zheng, the remonstrance official of the former Tang Dynasty, as a sage. Whenever state affairs are discussed, they submit candid, outspoken memorials."

"To this day, I have had ninety-nine of them executed. It is I who have wronged every man, woman, and child in their clan!"
