Great Ming: The Greatest Corrupt Official in History? I Can't Have Him Executed

Zhu Di hears that a prefect in Yangzhou has dared to embezzle government funds. Enraged, he orders the Embroidered Uniform Guard to escort the man to the capital.

But the local people have suffered under corrupt officials for years, and not only do they feel no hatred toward this one, they even plead for his pardon.

Curious, Zhu Di goes to investigate and sees that:

The people live in peace and prosperity, and commerce is flourishing.

Could this really be a good official?

Then Zhu Di sees the man's plans for developing a cement workshop, regulations for contracting cement roads, and a five-year infrastructure plan for transportation in the Ming Dynasty, among other documents.

After witnessing his knack for making money and governing the people well,

Zhu Di says:

"He can both rake in money and make a profit. Anyone who says Lord Zhao isn't a good official will lose his head!"

After transmigrating to the Ming Dynasty, Zhao Qian takes bribes, colludes with merchants, and accepts gifts right under the emperor's nose…

He keeps pushing Zhu Di's limits, yet Zhu Di simply refuses to kill him.

This is bad. How am I supposed to get back to the modern era now?
