Urban: From Hong Kong Island to Ruling the Global Entertainment Industry

Why should you get to define universal values? Why should you get to shape the way people see the world? Because you control the narrative?

Heh. It's 1984, a year of limitless possibilities, and nothing is settled yet. Who controls the narrative depends on what I do.

I'll get my start in Hong Kong, then take on the world: reworking Titanic, localizing Home Alone, and creating my own Dragon's Son.

What's mine will stay mine. What's yours may not stay yours. In the end, everything good will belong to me.

Weaken the enemy and strengthen myself. Film, music, variety shows, dance troupes: I'll show you what it means to have a dragon flying right in your face.

In this life, Bruce Lee's son won't die young, and the kung fu movie universe will shake the world.

In this life, Chinese-language screen goddesses will take turns leading the action-movie universe toward the stars and beyond.

In this life, fantasy and immortal-hero tales will show the world the deep heritage of an ancient civilization.

In this life, I'll watch the Chinese wave engulf everything and dominate the world, leaving no worthy rival in sight.
