Showbiz: Stop Digging Up the Past, or There’ll Be No Way to Live

At seventeen, Ji Yan competed on Super Boy and took the crown with a string of original songs.

That year, Ji Yan's songs could be heard on every street and in every alley.

"Gray Avatar," "What Can I Do," "Bad Girl," "Never to Meet Again," "Love That Won't Break Up," and so on...

That year, Ji Yan had already become a huge star and was poised to become a legendary superstar. But after refusing to submit to his agency's unspoken rules, he was blacklisted for a full ten years.

Ten years later.

After his contract expired and he parted ways with his agency, Ji Yan unexpectedly received an invitation from the show Call Me by Fire. Treating every stage as if it might be his last performance, he unexpectedly rose to fame again.

His comeback brought fans digging through the internet archives, and the songs Ji Yan had written while blacklisted, including "Billion-Copy Academy," "Letter Home," "Traffic Violent Beast," and "Tirelessly Destroying People," were all unearthed one by one.

Fans: "When people dig through the past, they find scandals and embarrassing moments. When they dig through Ji Yan's past, it's all highlights!"

Ji Yan: "Dig all you want, but don't read too much into it!"
