In Hong Kong’s Crime World, I Just Want to Be a Good Person

Lin Tianyao transmigrated into the Hong Kong cinematic universe. He sold sneakers and counterfeit goods, started a security company and factories, and built his business from the ground up. All the while, he secretly cultivated his own forces to protect his interests.

He was both a crime boss and a tycoon.

Then his System golden finger suddenly came online and ordered him to become a police officer.

Tempted by the generous rewards, Lin Tianyao joined the police force after all. The day before his police academy graduation, Huang Zhicheng showed up and tried to recruit him as an undercover cop.

Lin Tianyao slapped him right across the face.

"Sure, I almost sank the leader of Hung Hing, I crippled all five Tiger Generals of Tung Sing, I tore Wo Hop To apart, and the other gangs tremble at the name Prince Yiu..."

"But right now, I just want to be a good person!"

"You want me undercover so I can earn you a promotion?"

"Go eat shit, Inspector Huang!"

A few years later, at a meeting of senior officials, Lin Tianyao spread out a map.

"I've got men on every street in Hong Kong... I mean, informants!"

"Given that, I should be the top cop. Who agrees, and who objects?"
