Reborn in 1980: Making Movies in Hong Kong

Synopsis: Jiang Hao is reborn overnight in 1980s Hong Kong, where he becomes a low-level gangster.

He wakes up naked in bed beside his boss's daughter.

"I told you to protect my girl, and you protected her right into bed."

"Boss, let me explain. I just got here. I had no idea what was going on!"

To punish Jiang Hao, the underworld boss sends him to a film studio to shoot a low-budget movie.

Just as Jiang Hao prepares to give himself up for the sake of art, he unexpectedly awakens the Strongest Acting System.

Every time one of his films gets screened, he can obtain limitless resources and talent.

So...

"Director, a softcore flick is still a film. We should make it properly."

With the help of the System, Jiang Hao turns softcore films into works of art.

Besides earning an explosive box office, he also wins all kinds of awards.

Jackie Chan: "You've got to be kidding me. A guy who makes softcore films wins an award?"

Wong Kar-wai: "My movies are all just clumsy imitations of Jiang Hao's."

Johnnie To: "Jiang Hao made the movie I've always wanted to make."

Steven Spielberg: "Jiang Hao is the greatest director in the world."

Through filmmaking, Jiang Hao rises step by step from a low-level gangster to the pinnacle of the world...
