Great Ming: I Told You to Fight Corruption, So Why Are You in on It?

In the eighteenth year of the Hongwu era, the Guo Huan case broke out, and the Ming launched a sweeping anti-corruption campaign.

In the nineteenth year of the Hongwu era, Crown Prince Zhu Biao went on an imperial inspection tour of the fiefdoms to check the results of the campaign.

He was astonished to find that in his sixth brother Zhu Zhen's fief, the people were prosperous, lost belongings were left untouched on the roads, the elderly were cared for, and tax revenue ranked first in all of the Ming.

Just as Zhu Biao was about to report his sixth brother Zhu Zhen's impressive achievements to Zhu Yuanzhang,

he was shocked to discover that Zhu Zhen had developed a new form of gambling and become its secret owner.

The Prince of Chu's residence was no less splendid than the imperial palace.

Worse, he was colluding with corrupt officials, intent on making money.

Zhu Biao: "Sixth Brother, this is outrageous... Wait, is this ten million taels the tax revenue for this year?"

Zhu Di: "Sixth Brother, help me! I'm heading north to fight the Mongol Tatars, and I'm short on military funds!"

Empress Ma: "My son has the talent to govern the realm, Chongba. Put down that jade ruyi!"

Zhu Yuanzhang: "I sent you to fight corruption, and you joined in! Guards!"
