Chronicles of the Nine Provinces

The sages said: Establish virtue, establish merit, establish words, and you will be remembered even after death. They also said: Man follows the earth, the earth follows Heaven, Heaven follows the Dao, and the Dao follows what is natural. They further said: Whoever attains Anuttara-Samyak-Sambodhi sees the Tathagata.

I, Li Daoxuan, have made this vow: to establish the heart of Heaven and Earth, secure the lives of the people, continue the lost teachings of the sages, and bring peace to all generations.

From now on, Jiuzhou has a Mr. Li, and all living beings have a mentor.
