Neither Here Nor There This is the story of college student Xu Yile, following his campus life from the end of his college entrance exams at eighteen through his graduation at twenty-two. Alongside the protagonist's family bonds, friendships, and romances, his four years at college bring him insights and personal growth as he prepares to enter the next stage of life. Along the way, he encounters new people and experiences changes in his surroundings and in those around him, and his inner world changes as well. He goes from immature to mature, from frivolous to level-headed, and gradually leaves campus for the wider world. Can the different experiences of joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness change a person?
