Gourmet: Starting Out by Playing Cat and Mouse with Diners

While out for a walk, Wang Hai unexpectedly bound himself to a Food Discovery System.

Every road he had never taken, every spot where he set up his stall, and every customer's review could trigger a food reward from the System!

From boneless chicken strips outside a subway station

to stinky tofu by a school gate,

from red willow-grilled meat by an unnamed lake

to sour plum soup at the top of a scenic mountain.

When customers realized Wang Hai's recipe book kept getting thicker and he was setting up his stall in ever more unpredictable places, as if playing cat and mouse with them, fan groups began popping up everywhere.

"Boss Wang is selling grilled squid at Lishui No. 3 Primary School. Get over here!"

"I spotted Boss Wang while fishing! Here's the location, guys. I'm rushing over first!"

From the three famous snack districts of Jiangcheng to every street and alley in the mountain city, and then all across the country, this game of cat and mouse went on for ages, while the army of food lovers kept growing.
