Journey to the West: Who Sent Him to Fetch the Buddhist Scriptures?!

After transmigrating to the world of Journey to the West, Jiang Liu discovered that he had become Tang Sanzang, who was good for nothing except his looks.

Fortunately, his golden finger had finally arrived, albeit late. As long as he took on disciples, he would receive rewards, and anything he taught them would earn him a ten-thousandfold return.

He took Sun Wukong as a disciple and received the Mythic Divine Elephant Suppressing Prison Strength, the Mythic Heavenly Emperor's Cauldron...

Then he took on the Little White Dragon, Zhu Bajie, and Sha Wujing.

But how could four disciples possibly be enough?

The Golden-Winged Great Peng: "The Tathagata is my nephew, and all the Buddhas have to show me respect. What could you possibly offer as my master?"

Jiang Liu gave his disciples a look. They swarmed forward and pinned the Golden-Winged Great Peng to the ground. "Follow Master, and even the Western Heaven can be yours."

And so, when the journey west began, all the gods and Buddhas in heaven were furious.

Manjushri: "What? My mount has betrayed me, and now it's telling me to mind my own business?"

Samantabhadra: "Who am I? Where am I? Why can my mount beat me up?"

The Tathagata's face darkened. "Who let him go fetch the scriptures?"
