Thunder in the Heavens

Buddhism speaks of the seven sufferings of life: "birth, aging, illness, death, meeting those you resent, parting from those you love, and failing to get what you seek." A spring thunderclap shatters the stillness of the heavens, and life bursts forth in abundance. The search for the meaning of one's existence never ends. Before Qinglian Zunzhe passed away in meditation, he once said, "The Three Luminaries herald a revival." The unseen forces of karma guide the course of this story.
