Hong Kong Ghost Stories: I Join the Police and Solve the Case of the Old Corpse in the Mountain Village

After transmigrating, Su Chen discovers that he has arrived in 1990s Hong Kong, where he has become a probationary police officer in a world where ghost movies have merged with reality.

He becomes a subordinate of He Fanni, the female inspector at the Haunted Police Station, and is partnered with Meng Chao and Kam Kei.

On his first day at work, he gets assigned a murder case.

A bespectacled man has died for no apparent reason in Mong Kok, but the person reporting it claims an evil spirit killed him.

Inspector He Fanni doesn't believe it. Following the clues, she heads to Huangshan Village to investigate.

She stumbles into the plot of The Old Village of the Mountain, but refuses to believe in the supernatural and drinks a glass of water anyway.

That night, Chu Renmei comes looking for her.

Luckily, her housemate Su Chen notices in time and steps in front of Chu Renmei.

But Chu Renmei pulls a femme fatale move, scaring Su Chen so badly that his third leg goes limp on the spot.

He Fanni: "Su Chen, I'm so scared. Come keep me company in my room tonight."

"Madam, solving cases and catching ghosts is one thing, but now you want me to sleep with you too?"

But when Su Chen looks up, He Fanni is wearing lace pajamas.

Su Chen: "Never mind. As a gentleman, how could I let a beautiful inspector stay scared?"

"Inspector He, I'm coming..."
