You Asked Me to Develop Civilian Tech, but I Started an Industrial Revolution

Liu Zhongyuan gets a Black Tech System. He can earn rewards by developing civilian technology.

Whenever a new technology is put into use, if he packages an obsolete product as advanced technology and sells it to non-allied countries to rip them off, the reward is doubled.

Industry Bureau: Room-temperature superconductors, strong artificial intelligence, quantum technology? We told you to develop civilian technology, not start an industrial revolution!

Private companies: You built an aerospace carrier for us to use as a cargo ship? Do you seriously expect us to use that thing?

Technology Bureau: You said you were only developing civilian technology, so how did you end up building a space elevator and an interstellar fleet?

Liu Zhongyuan: I'm running an interstellar travel business and using a space elevator to take customers sightseeing in space. That's not unreasonable, is it? And if you're traveling between stars, you need a fleet for escort, right?

Freedomland: Fraud! You've already developed super AI, but you passed off the intermediate AI that's about to be phased out as the latest technology and sold it to us.

Foreign media: You keep ripping us off with obsolete products. What a disgrace!

Liu Zhongyuan: Don't slander me! Those products really are obsolete in my country, but they're advanced technology in yours. After all, you're so far behind, right?

Kangaroo Country: That's a blow straight to the heart! Absolutely heartless!
