Based on the concept of protecting civilians, Mo Wen sticks to his "faith" and rises step by step, eventually becoming one of the top martial arts masters in the local area. However, he still maintains a humble and calm personality and walks among civilians to preach justice. All people think that Mo Wen is an honest, brave and trustworthy good man. At the end of the novel, Mo Wen refines the martial arts he has learned to a state where he can win without any moves and realizes his long-held ideal - to transform the Loess Plain into a better and safer world.
