The LPL Has Entered the Top-Laner Era!

Liu Hao was once a thousand-point Challenger at the summit of the S10 Rift. After an accident, he transmigrated back to S8, to an era when the LPL top lane was bleak and unremarkable.

There was Koro1, Tong Wudi, a brief flash in the pan; 957, Brother Leg, whose glory was short-lived; Letme, Emperor Let, who supposedly treated everyone equally; and Mouse, hailed as "the light of domestic top laners" before being brought down from his pedestal.

Their titles all sounded mighty and impressive, but the reality was quite different!

RNG complained every year that they lacked a powerful top laner, while EDG was known as the so-called top-laner graveyard. Even TheShy, later hailed as the world's best top laner, had yet to make a name for himself.

Up through S7, the only top laner the LPL could really count on was the former veteran great, Go Going!

The LPL top lane was still mired in an extremely dark age.

Playing safe and serving as a team-oriented tank were the prevailing trends for LPL top laners.

But when Liu Hao, once a thousand-point Challenger at the S10 summit, stepped onto the professional stage, the LPL top lane landscape changed completely!

Liu Hao: "I hereby announce that the LPL is entering the top-lane era!"
