Battle of the Void: Defying Fate

When a planet faces the threat of a Void Lord, a force arises within it to oppose the danger: the "Savior." To buy time for the Savior to grow, the sentient core of the planet keeps transporting chosen ones from parallel universes into its own. These chosen ones become cannon fodder, protecting the Savior until they meet their deaths at the hands of the Void.

The protagonist bears "fate's favor." As he keeps dodging the Void's attacks, he gradually uncovers the truth.
