Childhood Heartthrob: Starting Out as the Emperor's Human Host, Xiangyang

In 2004, auditions began for Home with Kids. Shen Qingyun auditioned for the role of Liu Xing, but was rejected for being too pretty.

But the Armor Hero production team took notice of him, and cast him as Xiang Yang, the human host of Emperor Armor.

After it aired, elementary school students all over the country were green with envy. Why could he transform into Emperor Armor when he was an elementary school student just like them?

He took a summer job and got dragged into playing the young Ying Zheng.

As soon as he came of age, he was roped into playing the mute Zhang Qiling in The Grave Robbers' Chronicles, and even had to sing the theme song, Ten Years in the Human World.

He also played Ziyang in the Emperor Hero movie. Shura wanted Shen Qingyun too. They were really milking one guy for all he was worth.

It was only when the fans grew up that they realized the person they'd envied all their lives was the same one.

Guan Gege: "I'm your childhood sweetheart, and you don't go for me? You went after Dilraba instead?"

Ni Ni: "Can't best friends get married?"

Dilraba: "Why are you looking at me? I was the one who pursued him!"

Ma Sichun: "The man my Li Bala wants isn't getting away."
