Siheyuan: I Leech Off the Neighbors and Become Richer Than a Nation

Starting out as a refugee, Li Jianjun tries to change his fate of starving to death by freeloading off the neighbors.

He's worn himself out worrying about how to give his whole family a better life.

“Dad, you need to work hard. That Yi Zhonghai guy you're staying with has the best conditions. He earns over a hundred a month. Get whatever you can from him.”

“Grandpa, the deaf old lady you're living with is doing pretty well, too. I heard that old woman has plenty saved for her retirement!”

“Little sis, your job is to win over Yushui. I can't put all my eggs in one basket, and our family needs someone to carry on the family line.”

Li Jianjun assigns everyone in the family a task, and they all turn to look at him.

“My task is pretty tough, too. First, I have to move in with the Jia family. Once I've won them over completely, we'll have a base of operations.”

“After I talk Xu Damao into divorcing, I'll arrange for Grandma to live with Lou Xiao'e. That young woman has a good heart.”

And so, without anyone noticing, Li Jianjun and his family take over the courtyard compound.

At the same time, Li Jianjun realizes this world seems to be about more than just the courtyard compound.
