I’m Interning in the Maternity Ward, and I’ve Discovered So Many Secrets

My name is Li Ming. I'm a fourth-year university student with a keen interest in obstetrics and gynecology, and also a rather rare male doctor. Thanks to an opportunity, I got to do my internship in the obstetrics and gynecology department of a renowned hospital, hoping to learn and help the pregnant women there. I met several single mothers there, one of whom was my first love. However, as I worked there, I discovered an astonishing secret hidden behind the department, one involving life, genes, power, and money. Some pregnant women, for instance, were frequently called in for tests, but their results were never made public. Some went missing after giving birth, and some of their fetuses grew at an abnormally rapid rate. This secret threatened not only my safety and that of the pregnant women, but also implicated my own origins and love life. What should I choose? What exactly is the conspiracy? How can I fulfill my dream of becoming a doctor?
