You Won't Let Me End My Contract? I'll Join the Army Instead!

Xu Tiandong transmigrates to a parallel world and, at his company's behest, joins Goose Factory's talent show, Rising Star.

He plans to coast through it, but right away he faces a major challenge: he can't sing, dance, or rap, and his next challenge is a solo stage performance.

What should he do? He can't let down all the transmigrators who came before him!

To his surprise, even the half-finished bottle of white tea he left behind has transmigrated with him. Could it be the other half of the System's key?

Can't sing, dance, or rap? No problem. The Skill Rental System is here to help.

After a successful performance, Xu Tiandong discovers that the company's contract is outrageously exploitative. Not only is his share small, but he doesn't even own the rights to his original songs, and the penalty for breaking the contract is absurdly high.

When talks to terminate the contract fail, Xu Tiandong promptly enlists in the army! He gets into the military arts academy and sets off on a different path.

Years later, Xu Tiandong says, "I'm a real idol, you know. Calling me a serious actor is an insult to whom, exactly? And what kind of prestige do you think comes with making Asia's Ten Most Handsome Men list all the time?"
