Secret History of the Qing Dynasty: My Days in the Qing Dynasty

Today we're talking about a protagonist who's the subject of a rags-to-riches story. Starting out as a penniless scholar, he uses his intelligence and exceptional mind to climb step by step to the pinnacle of life. He can't fight, but all six of his wives are martial arts experts of the highest order. They help him wage war across the north and south, and in the end he becomes a king second only to one and above all others.
