A Fun Take on the Three Kingdoms: Liu Bei Turns the Tables by Growing Grain

During the Three Kingdoms period, Cao Cao rose from the scholar-official class and established Wei, while Sun Quan, born with a silver spoon in his mouth, founded Wu. Liu Bei, a commoner, suffered defeat after defeat like a stray dog. How did he eventually establish Shu and build an empire? After Liu Bei and Zhuge Liang died, how did Liu Shan manage to keep Shu prosperous for another thirty years? Was Zhao Yun really just a security captain?

The answers all begin with grain as the foundation of a nation. Look at Shu through the lens of grain cultivation, and you'll discover a different Three Kingdoms.
