Great Ming: Born Rebellious, I Became an Emperor for the Ages

Zhu Gang transmigrates to the Ming Dynasty and becomes the third son of Zhu Yuanzhang and Empress Ma.

The Third Prince, known to everyone as a refined and well-read young man, suddenly goes against type and shows his rebellious streak.

He refuses to study the Four Books and Five Classics, and won't learn horseback riding or archery.

He not only beats up Chang Yuchun's son, but also flirts with Xu Da's daughter.

He even openly berates the officials in court,

and defies Zhu Yuanzhang to his face.

Enraged, Zhu Yuanzhang appoints Zhu Gang Prince of Jin ahead of schedule and sends him to take up his fief in Taiyuan.

Not long after he arrives, Zhu Gang's many bizarre actions prompt numerous officials to submit memorials, protesting that the Prince of Jin's words and deeds defy reason and break all the rules.

Under pressure from public opinion, Zhu Yuanzhang agrees to travel incognito with Empress Ma to see the truth for themselves.

But when they reach Taiyuan, Zhu Yuanzhang and his party are all left stunned.

"Why are Taiyuan's walls as solid as rock? Compared to them, the walls of Yingtian Prefecture are like mud balls!"

"What? The matchlock can fire continuously? Red Zhu cannons are being mass-produced?"

Zhu Gang smiled faintly. "Father, I have just one goal."

"On land or at sea, the only flag that should fly is the flag of our Great Ming."
