Tales of Strange Happenings

Everyone is guilty!

The Buddha names ten evils: killing, stealing, sexual misconduct, false speech, frivolous speech, harsh speech, divisive speech, covetousness, anger, and wrong views.

The Dao names three obstacles: demonic obstacles, karmic obstacles, and calamities.

The West speaks of the seven deadly sins: pride, envy, wrath, sloth, greed, gluttony, and lust.

From human wickedness, strange tales are created, roaming the mortal world.

From human sin, strange tales are written, unfolding amid the mundane world.

Then can human goodness stand against human sin?

The answer: “It cannot be spoken.”
