The Backbone of the Nation: The Song Dynasty Wasn't So Weak

After Yashan, there was no Great Xia. After the Yan officials, there were no Han people. After the Jiashen Incident, they became slaves to the Tartars.

The Battle of Yashan and the Jiangyin Resistance against the Qing are two truly stirring historical events. We must look back on them and reflect on the turbulent history and resilient national spirit of our great Great Xia, a land that has endured hardship after hardship.

The Battle of Yashan marked the fall of the Southern Song. A hundred thousand soldiers and civilians perished. Lu Xiufu carried the young emperor into the sea from Yashan, and the bodies of Song soldiers and civilians floated everywhere. They would rather die than surrender. How magnificent!

The Han were powerful, the Tang were mighty in war, and the Song flourished in literature. Great Xia culture reached its peak during the Song dynasty. The Song was the dynasty whose administration came closest to modern governance. The golden age of Great Xia culture faded with the fall of the Song.
