Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio: Don't Mess With Me, Fahai, I'm Really Not Human

An ordinary student from Blue Star was chosen by Fahai, who was on the verge of passing away. He inherited all of Fahai's memories and the body of a nine-clawed golden dragon, becoming one with both. After an accident, he stumbled into the world of Liaozhai.

He answers to no one, above or below, and does as he pleases.

From then on, he traveled the world in Fahai's name. He bowed neither to the Tathagata nor to the Buddha, believing himself to be the Tathagata. The only one he would ever worship was himself.

The handsome monk in his kasaya looked at the Black Mountain Old Demon, whose body seethed with black mist, and gave a cold laugh. He raised his hand and shouted,

"Mighty Heavenly Dragon, World-Honored Ksitigarbha, Buddhas of Prajna, Prajna Paramita, destroy the wicked!"

A massive golden dragon emerged from his body.

"Roar..."

A heaven-shaking dragon's cry resounded through the sky. Its dragon might swept in every direction, bathing the surroundings in golden light...

There is a way to have both: to honor the Tathagata without forsaking you.
