The Strange Hero, One Plum Blossom

In the middle of the Ming dynasty, natural disasters ravaged the land, and victims in northern Hunan waited for the court to send 300,000 taels in relief funds so they could survive.

But the 300,000 taels of gold were stolen by a mysterious figure while in transit, and their whereabouts became unknown. The incident sent shock waves through the court! With the people suffering and villains running rampant in the government, the one who could turn the tide was a drunkard wasting his life away?

Li Ge Xiao was unemployed, destitute, and drunk all day long. Nobody knew that this dissolute, weather-beaten man was the foremost detective of the Jinyiwei, once feared by all sixteen gangs around the Five Lakes! With the greater good at stake, Ge Xiao agreed to help an old friend he had not seen in years and return to the martial world to find the relief funds. Decisive and astonishing in his methods, Ge Xiao recruited three helpers through a clever scheme: the mysterious and much-avoided oddballs Yan San Niang, a swallow-thief; He Xiao Mei, a master of disguise; and Chai Hu, a notorious river pirate.
