Defying Heaven

The emperor's throne changes hands, and this year it's my turn. Even the Jade Emperor in Heaven is no exception. A wastrel young master accidentally acquired a wisp of the consciousness of the ancient Heavenly Emperor Haotian Shangdi, and actually replaced the Jade Emperor as the new Heavenly Emperor.

My fate is mine to decide, not Heaven's. If Heaven is heartless and unjust, then I will replace it and redefine the laws of the universe.

The Four Heavenly Kings? Worthless. Not worth my effort. The Twenty-Eight Mansions? Still too weak. The Twelve Golden Immortals? Half of them are my brothers. What can you possibly fight me with? The Six Imperials? They've got some strength, but I can wipe them all out by myself. The Three Pure Ones? Powerful, but I'm no pushover either. The Jade Emperor? A hypocrite, heartless and unjust. I'm here to take your place.

Tathagata Buddha in the Western Heaven? You'd better stay out of this, or I'll take you on too.
