Journey to the West: From Langlang Mountain to the Myriad Worlds

"Your Majesty, Buddhism harbors rebellious ambitions. The entire Journey to the West was carried out by the Three Daoist Immortals, yet the world praises the Buddhists for their compassion!"

Zhu Keyong reports to the Jade Emperor that the Journey to the West is nothing but a grand play directed by Buddhism. When Wu Zetian takes the throne, every household in the Tang Empire will worship Buddha, and Daoism will decline.

"What should we do, then?"

"Stop the Journey to the West and revive the Daoist sect!"

The Jade Emperor, Zhen Yuanzi, and the Three Pure Ones all nod in agreement.

"Keyong, here are two freshly picked Ginseng Fruits!" Zhen Yuanzi says.

"Keyong, that monkey ate all the golden pills I refined. These are the ones I've made over the last five hundred years. Keep an eye on them for me!"

Taishang Laojun leaves Zhu Keyong in charge of his entire alchemy chamber.

"Zhen Yuanzi, tell Keyong about the Primordial Dao Fruit we discussed last time," Yuanshi Tianzun says.

After transmigrating as a little pig demon from Langlang Mountain, Zhu Keyong suddenly becomes a Pig King equal to Sun Wukong. Now he has to stop the Great Sage Equal to Heaven, the very man who recognized his talent and gave him his chance.
