Late at night

A beggar covered from head to toe in fur woke with a start from a nightmare. Then, memories sealed away for five hundred years surged into his mind like a tide.

In his dream, the beggar had seen Western Spirit Mountain. His master had been refined by Tathagata Buddha into a Sandalwood Merit Pill and swallowed.

To keep the truth from coming out, Tathagata Buddha had joined forces with the Jade Emperor, stripping Zhu Bajie of his skin and bones and turning him into a lamp under the fabricated charge of treason. Sha Wujing was accused of molesting the Queen Mother of the West and sentenced to be tortured by lightning until his soul was scattered. Little White Dragon was skinned and dismembered, then fed to the Golden-Winged Great Peng.

“Pfft!”

The beggar suddenly spat out a great mouthful of blood. His eyes burned with boundless rage as he stared toward Western Spirit Mountain.

“Tathagata! Jade Emperor! I, Old Sun, swear that in this life, I will...”
