Great Ming: A Seventh-Rank County Magistrate Who Executes the Emperor's Relatives from the Start

In the fifth year of Hongwu, after the failure of his second northern campaign, Zhu Yuanzhang went to Fengyang to clear his mind.

There, he discovered that Xu County in Fengyang was like a hidden paradise.

But Zhu Yuanzhang found that the county magistrate, Yan Yixing, had built factories, seized farmland, smelted steel in secret, and stockpiled gunpowder.

He had even imprisoned a prince and planned to execute him after the autumn harvest.

Xu Da: "Big Brother, half the gunpowder and refined iron in the army comes from Xu County. We can't kill Yan Yi."

Zhu Biao: "Most of the court's provisions come from Xu County. We can't kill Yan Yi."

Empress Ma: "Though Yan Yi's methods are unorthodox, he is still a worthy minister."

Old Zhu: "Fine, we won't kill him. A clever man deserves a clever opponent. Let Yan Yi and Li Shanchang fight it out!"
