Help! What Do I Do When Everyone Mistakes Me for the Savior?

The Star Empire was torn apart by war, and Noah, its sole heir, was sentenced to be burned at the stake.

Unexpectedly, he was reborn seven years in the past and acquired a diary that could alter the future in response to his actions.

Noah used the diary's power to ensure that anything that could harm him never came to pass.

He also promoted a highly capable civil official who, after offending a superior, was about to be sent to a remote region.

And he appointed as his personal servant a young woman who had remained utterly loyal to him even in the face of danger.

Everything he did was simply to ensure his own safety.

Yet he had no idea why everyone kept reading far too much into his actions.

Those who once mocked him praised his wisdom and virtue.

Those who had looked down on him went out of their way to befriend him.

A girl who wanted to kill him blushed whenever she saw him.

Almost everyone called him a messenger sent by the gods, come to save all living beings.

Noah shrugged.

If that's what everyone insists on believing, there's nothing I can do about it.
