Showbiz: I Became a Legend at the New Year's Eve Concert

After being kept on the shelf by his company for ten years, Xia Yu finally gets his first chance to perform onstage just as his contract expires.

The New Year's Eve gala is packed with stars. Big names headline the show, occupying the prime-time slots and vying for the honor of drawing the highest ratings.

At last, it's time for Xia Yu, the "filler-act singer" scheduled for the early hours of the morning, to take the stage.

One song, "I Never Expected," blends together 16 of Xia Yu's past songs, serving as his farewell to the last ten years.

The medley weaves together songs such as "Phantom Hearing," "In the Blink of an Eye," "A Taste for All," and "Broken Bridge in Snow"...

He thought this would be his final farewell performance, but to everyone's surprise, a huge number of viewers suddenly flocked to the TV station and its livestream.

The gala's ratings, which had already hit rock bottom, shot straight up and broke the peak once again, setting off a social media frenzy!

After the song ends, the audience cries, "A rush of memories! It made us cry our eyes out. Our youth is vivid as ever!"

At that moment, people suddenly realize that the king has returned!

After the gala, Boss Yang approaches Xia Yu. "Xia Yu, come work for my company. I'll put on a concert for you!"
