Showbiz: What Are You Even Acting So Superior For?

Hong Kong star Lin Chen joins a reality show.

The show sends mainland entertainment stars and Hong Kong stars on a trip together, traveling on a shoestring.

But as soon as it airs, viewers immediately notice the stark contrast between the two groups.

When the mainland stars run out of money for food, they head to restaurants and try to get meals by flashing their faces. When the waiters don't recognize them, they mock them.

When Lin Chen runs out of money for food, he offers to wash dishes at a night-market stir-fry stall, earning a meal through hard work.

To reach the show's destination, the mainland stars flag down cars by the roadside. They even turn down Mercedes and BMWs, insisting on riding luxury cars worth millions because they say that's what suits their status.

Lin Chen, meanwhile, flags down a tricycle used to collect recyclables and offers to help its owner gather scrap. After finishing the job, he rides the tricycle to the destination himself.

Each time Lin Chen does something so down-to-earth,

viewers across the internet erupt: "Mainland entertainment, what exactly are you acting so high and mighty about?"
