Hong Kong Films: Making Movies for Keung From the Start

Fan Xing transmigrates to a parallel world of Hong Kong crime films.

He's an ordinary 49er working under Hung Hing's Kwun, also known as Handsome Kwun.

By day, he's an assistant director at Kwun's film company, making erotic movies.

By night, he gets into fights, collects protection money, and sells drugs.

Just as Fan Xing is being exploited by Kwun, a ruthless capitalist,

the Reputation System arrives.

Fan Xing uses the Reputation System to win skills through prize draws and buy special items from the System Shop.

He leads his crew, including Jaap, Dongguan, and Fong Chin-ho, to take over Yau Tsim Mong.

He puts bosses like Handsome Kwun, Wong Po, Chiang Tin-sang, and Lam Wai-lok out of work.

He gives the bosses' wives new careers making adult films.

He opens a film company, acquires cinema chains, and takes over half of Hong Kong's entertainment industry.

He buys garment factories and sells knockoffs, moving from imitation to original designs and setting trends across Asia.

He starts with arcade machines, then buys machine tools and lithography equipment from Japan, turning Hong Kong into an industrial powerhouse.

Years later, a reporter interviews Fan, the Justice of the Peace and patriotic entrepreneur.

Fan Xing replies that

back then, he had merely done a little bit of work

to ensure Hong Kong's smooth return, stability, and prosperity.
