Showbiz: I’m a Coal Tycoon, and I Made Reba Famous from the Start

Deng Jinhuan, a director of low-budget web dramas, was reborn in 2009. His parents died right from the start, leaving him to inherit the family business and become a coal tycoon worth hundreds of billions.

By then, the coal industry was already in decline, and he had to find another way forward.

Just then, screenwriter Wang Hailin came looking for investors with the script for Big Shots, and Deng beat everyone else to the punch.

Wang Hailin: "I'll never forget Boss Deng, my generous patron, sitting at a nightclub with two girls in his arms and telling me he wanted to promote positive values."

Reba: "He's a coal boss, but he keeps pulling me aside to say he wants to coach my acting."

Liu Tao: "Mr. Deng is always saying he'll give me a chance to play Teacher Bai, while he plays the principal."

Yang Mi: "He bought my company, and now he wants me too."
