The Nation's Cuisine: It All Starts with Getting Dilraba to Promote Winter Bamboo Shoots

Yu Fei is reborn as the head chef of his village's communal canteen, where he awakens the Food Revival System.

On the very first day, Dilraba, who is filming nearby, is starving and comes to the village to buy roasted sweet potatoes. She happens to arrive just as the canteen is serving a feast. After eating her fill, she becomes hooked on Yu Fei's cooking and keeps finding new excuses to come back for more.

Just then, the village's winter bamboo shoots are going unsold. To help clear the surplus, Yu Fei offers Dilraba a deal: she can eat for free if she posts about the shoots on Weibo.

As Yu Fei brings income to the village, he unlocks one divine recipe after another and leads the whole village in building a business.

The first product he makes, Yu's Pickles, takes the country by storm. Yujia Village becomes famous, and film crews scramble to shoot there. The show Back to Field even brings Yang Chaoyue, IU, and Im Yoon-ah to visit.

After that, Yu's Spicy Gluten Snacks, Yu's Savory Tofu Pudding, Yu's Cured Meat, Yu's Fried Chicken franchises, Yu's Hot Pot franchises, and more hit the market, gradually building a rural food empire.

The most mysterious of all are Yu Fei's secret-brewed liquor and miraculous medicinal cuisine. Bigwigs from every walk of life personally travel to Yujia Village to buy them.

Entertainment reporter: "Dilraba, could you put in a word with your boss Yu? We'd love to do a joint interview with you two."
