The Underdog's Comeback: Breaking the Light

Shen Yue was a modern office drone who got hit by a car and died. He then met an old man of the Heavenly Dao, who told him he was fated to be a lifelong loser and workhorse: in every life, he died miserably, plagued by bad luck and one disaster after another. If he wanted to defy fate and change his destiny, he had to find the God of Fate. Otherwise, he would remain a loser as before and repeat the fate he'd already lived.

Shen Yue refused to accept this. He was determined to defy fate and change his destiny. Why should the God of Fate treat him so unfairly? With the Heavenly Dao's help, he entered a cultivation world and began cultivating. He stumbled and struggled along the way, but persevered and grew stronger.

Can he defy fate and change his destiny? Can he obtain the justice he seeks?
